VarietyRobert KoehlerPerfs are either absurdly stiff or over-the-top, and effects and makeup look like they were made in someone's garage.
Film ThreatAmanda ReyesA solid, whirlwind of a horror movie, with more twists and turns than a hula hoop competition.
ESplatterSteve BiodrowskiThe saving grace is the obvious awareness of the familiar tropes, coupled with a clear effort to use them in clever, surprising ways.
Film Journal InternationalBruce FeldThe plot is derivative, the dialogue cumbersome and cliché-ridden.
Los Angeles TimesMark OlsenIntermittently fun and occasionally witty, with just the right touch of self-awareness.
L.A. WeeklyAdam NaymanNightmare Man is all impenetrably dark nighttime shots, politely telegraphed shocks and limp, transparent misogyny masquerading as genre-savvy hijinks.
User ReviewAlec (HELL?AISER)its pretty good same bad fx but its still good
User ReviewGaryF.Film does not take itself too seriously which is part of the reason why most of it works. A fun ride, granted the nightscenes are a little bit dark, but it's good to know that someone is making a horror film with a wink and a smile, rather than sadism...
User ReviewRobert MThis starts as just a run of the mill low budget slasher but ends up with some surprising plot twists which turn the film in to a supernatural thriller. Dont get me wrong, there can be no question that this is a B movie. But its one hell of a fun B movie. Its all here Nudity, gore, dark humour and reasonable FX. It also manages to build up quite abit of tension in certain scenes. But being a good film was just a bonus. I would have never of watched this film if it hadnt started Tiffany Shepis. I endeavour to see as many of her films as I can. This didnt disappoint me, as it was worth watching it just for the looking back through her legs scene. Classic Shepis!
User ReviewWes AThis movie is awesome. Then again I wasn't expecting much.... but if you appreciate a campy style of film, then you will enjoy this. It takes camp, throws in some twists, a hint of lesbianism and then gives some chick who is all fucked up on Brazilian tequila a huge gun. What could go wrong?
