The studio crew takes precautions and highten security, but on the other side of America, a hospital nurse is found brutally butchered. Who could be behind these murders? A crazed fan, a religious psychotic, or perhaps it's someone much closer to Diane then the police (or audience) could have ever expected.

| User ReviewLisa SThis movie appears to be just another slasher flick in the beginning, but at the climax the killer is revealed, and it makes for a real great plot twist. I'm giving this movie four stars for the ending mostly, but the rest of the movie is alright too, it's just that the end is the most suspenseful part, and the final scene is perfect. I enjoyed this movie, and if you like slasher flicks you'll enjoy it too. Plus, there's some good bands playing in the movie too. |

| User ReviewJohn HA truly fun, stylish, and brutal early slasher from the golden era that centers around a punk rock new years television broadcast that keeps being interrupted by a caller who kills a new victim each time it becomes the new year in a different time zone. Featuring gritty death scenes more in line with Maniac than Prom Night and original punk music, New Years Evil is an absolute must for fans of early 80s slashers. Currently, Netflix Instant is pretty much the only way to see it.... |
