| User ReviewJames HThis is so awesome of a movie, I plan to buy the DVD after renting it... And plan to rent "Kelly's Heroes" next Don Rickles was always one of my favorite comics... I rememeber being a kid and watch the Dean Martin celebrity roasts, and cracking up listening to him - and i didnt even GET half the references he made... P.s those Dean Martin Roasts shows were great - if only you could buy the series on DVD from a reputable dealer.. Mr Warmth is great in that it profiles Don Rickles the onstage persona, and his real life... Sure he was the all-around wiseass king, but he wasn't "on" all the time... He really appreciated the fans and the people in his life... He may make fun of them constantly, but he appreciated them and showed it.. The DVD also has a hellva lot of past & current celebrity cameos in it... All of em having great Don Rickles stories...Even DeNiro & Scorcese are in it. I'm glad this won an Emmy (or whatever it just won) - it deserved it.. |
