Martin is worried about money and sends his son over to pretend to be heart sick. His operation would cost a handsome sum, but without it the boy would have to die. In Ralph's marriage to the psychotherapist Ruth, there is a great crisis. Ruth openly attacks Wolfi for his lustful, vulgar language, but the men envy the host, who has so much coal and not a family that spoils his fun. Wolfi has planned hearty amusements, but also has an old bill for his friends.
