A newspaper nature columnist is inspired by his wife to use wildlife critters to report city gossip. He soon becomes the toast of the town. But when she passes on scuttlebutt from her beauty salon and a politician is "rubbed out," the police and the culprits wonder how he knew in advance to report it.
