User Review - 10/10 by Lenie Mto all the HATERS: i am a real mermaid, no question about it. thank you to all of the team in your efforts to interview me. it was great. now i am dead due to global climate warming.
User Review - 10/10 by Kathy HThis is a pseudo-scientific mockumentary and it's very, very good. The created merpeoples world is idyllic and often moving. The science about the effects of sonar on whales and dolphins is real as is the science about the cooperation between dolphins and us. So is the Aquatic Ape Hypothesis surprisingly. Same politics as the film Avatar, but considering global warming, coral bleaching, sonar and our residential address, it hits a lot harder.
User Review - 8/10 by Stephanie YIf you can get over the whole 'it's not real' thing, there is a great (fictional) movie hidden under there. A little bit of fantasy mixed with the scientific process works really well in this not-often-used format. Sure the CGI is a bit cheesy, but what documentary is complete without bad graphics? The story is interesting and the 'facts' make sense so there are no great leaps in logic.
