| User ReviewSt SMelissa is a (second remake) BBC mini-series from 1974. Don't ask me why I kept putting off renting it but I did. It came in the mail today and I was glued to my recliner until it was over. If you want an old-fashioned mystery with lots of plot twists and red herrings (best I can describe it is a cross between Margery Allingham and Ellery Queen), grab this and watch it now. All of the actors did a bang-up job but (IMHO) Peter Barkworth was just fantastic in the lead role. |
