User Review - 10/10 by Jordan Mthe theme song will immediately let you know what you're in for. pain. also the fact that it's early 80s and made for tv. sometimes it's intentionally funny and sometimes unintentionally funny. always entertaining. the part with the caves is actually pretty cool. the only interesting part as far as the plot was showing the home life that drove each kid to turn inward and become interested in role playing to avoid everyday life.

My mother wanted to watch this with me, hoping it would show me the "dangers" of such hobbies. When it was finished, she asked me what I thought. I told her it was hilarious because of how completely wrong they got the hobby. That was the last discussion we had about M&M.
User Review - 8/10 by Matt SGreat fun to watch if you can get hold of it! You've never seen Tom Hanks looking this young! Lots of retro-interest - old telephones, phone booths the World Trade Centre. Teens and twenty-somethings would enjoy comparing and contrasting their gaming culture to the one portrayed here. I have just become aware of "LARP" ing activities so I'm a bit surprised to find that it's been practiced by gamers for over 25 years! But then, I never really got past Monopoly...
