| User ReviewNicolas OUn film ordinaire d'un bon realisateur est toujours meilleur qu'un bon film d'un mauvais realisateur. Certain personnages sont carrement inutiles au developpement de l'intrigue et casse un peu le rhytme du film. l'interpretation en general est assez bonne surtout Gildor Roy. Malgre que ce ne soit pas le meilleur de Morin, La Methode Morin, extra sur le DVD vaut vraiment de detour, hilarant. |
| User ReviewHugo SQUE DIEU BÉNISSE L'AMÉRIQUE (2006) directed by Robert Morin starring Gildor Roy, Sylvain Marcel, Sylvie LeonardAfter a list of sexual predators is being posted everywhere around town, murders start happening. The film start with yet another victim and we follow the destiny of a neighborhood in a suburban city on that day, that happens to be September 11th 2001. The title refers to what George W. Bush said that day: «God bless America». Their lives intersects and they are all suspects for the audience.Most of those plots are thin but they are all there to confuse us. Its pretty much a character study and we get mostly very good performances by all of the actors.This is Robert Morin's most commercial film but it doesnt keep him from having his usual critic of our society and the ones who lead us even if its never subtle with him. Its not his best work, its definately interesting and surprisingly well-crafted but it could have been better. |
