Mango tango is an early embodiment of the #MeToo theme. Leading up to the climax of the film is an off- balance tango between perpetrator and victim, showing that only two people who respect each other are able to dance in unison. The protagonist, ironically a tango teacher, who teaches her students balance and respect , has an intuition early on in form of vivid dreams.. But it will take some hard knocks for her to realize what's really going on.
