When Ryo, a young magazine reporter, moves into a new apartment he is greeted by the passionate sounds of his astonishingly beautiful neighbor Satsuki. | User ReviewChris SExcellent! Reminds me a bit of 2LDK without the violence and with lots of nudity. An intense film that pretty much takes in one set and with about 3 actors. Wonderfully shot, it provides a degree of realism and in some ways provides some "hello kitty cuteness" to perverts and somewhat stalkers. Very original in its execution and you can't just help but to admire the love story underneath. If you can't take subtitles, go watch something else. If nudity and rather graphic sex scenes bother you, go pick up 101 Dalmatians. This is a great movie by the man who did "Junk Food". That was the original 'Crash (not Cronenberg's)' movie around 10 years ago if you ask me. Watch this if you find it! |
| User ReviewArmando RAt first, you'll wonder what kind of movie you got yourself into since it starts out uncomfortably. The main star is pretty much a stalker, though a harmless one with good intentions. Wait, did I really just say that? But it soon turns into a fun romance that deals with stalking and harassment in ways that other movies I've seen haven't. It wasn't what I expected at all, but I'm glad I saw it. Plus it ends with one of the best shots in movie history thanks to Aoi Sora. |
| User ReviewSusan RI thought this movie was FUNNY! Guy fantasizing about the girl next door by hearing her every movement from his wall and becoming obsessed to it. I thought the funniest part when she went outside to take out her garbage, he followed her and took her garbage bag back into his home to see what kind of stuff she likes lolol. But the sex scenes are intense, she has a nice body though ;) I don't think this movie was supposed to be all about sex, it's just this guy who becomes obsessed with the girl next door lol. The girl's boyfriend was so funny and weird, can't believe he did that, you'll know what I mean! Well that's what happens in 2 months I guess ;) |

| User ReviewTrevor CThis movie is pretty funny in a sort of perverted twisted way. It's about a pervert who, because of thin walls, is able to listen in on his attractive next door neighbor, and whilst doing imagines scenarios that she may be in based on the sounds (so basically he fantasizing). Then, however, he learns of the neighbor's boyfriend and a bizarre situation involving a pervert caller who says he'll be with the woman soon in a very creepy altered voice. Our perverted protagonist, supposedly caring for the woman (though he mainly wants to date her) tries to figure out who the caller is and what the source of this bizarre garble is when ever he listens in on her through his own personal mic. As the story progresses the main pervert finds out that the woman next door lives in an apartment much less kinky than he imagined, and it is, in fact, a very nice apartment that is well furnished, and much less pink and fluffy. Throughout the film the pervert tries to get the woman to break up with her boyfriend, and he tries to prove to her that he is a good guy - though secretly he is as perverted as the other stalker who calls the woman with threats. The film is quite original, and it is humorously acted. The story has plenty of little plot twists to keep it both interesting and humorous as we follow this pervert's, oddly enough, not too perverted life. |

| User ReviewGrégory SUne très bonne surprise ce tout petit film Japonais. Sortie directement en vidéo (marché très populaire au Japon : Le V-cinema), cette petite comédie teinté d'une pointe d'érotisme est très rigolote et le sujet n'est pas abordé de façon lourde. Le réalisateur sait tiré partie d'un budget plus que ridicule et les acteurs s'en sortent avec les honneurs. le tout est vraiment drôle et Sora Aoi est sublime (comme d'hab). On aurai du coup aimé un budget plus confortable qui aurait rendu le film meilleur (les reproches viennent justement de l'aspect cheap du film et de sa photo trop sombre). |
