Full Plot Details

Among the rich in New Orleans, it's the lush life for Lionel Exley, a golf hustler and heavy drinker. Released from an Arkansas jail, "Ex" returns to the Big Easy and starts a friendship with another heavy drinker, attorney Firman Carter. Often waking with no memory of how he got to bed, Ex becomes the object of affection of two wealthy sisters, Rachel and Ashley Van Dyke. Ex also keeps bumping into various local oddballs, pals of the eccentric Carter. When Carter goes missing and the police suspect Ex of foul play, it may be time for him to put down his glass and sort out reality from the haze.

Reel Film Reviews - 1/10 by David NusairBy the time the last half hour rolls around (and believe me, it takes a long time for that to happen), the film has abandoned any pretense of being coherent and becomes an all-out mess of confusion.
User Review - 4/10 by Steve S** (out of four) A slow and uneventful little movie about an alcoholic (Campbell Scott) who returns home to New Orleans and befriends a man in a bar (Jared Harris). They begin meeting with two party sisters (Laura Linney & Laurel Holloman) at various golf club luncheons. That is until Harris disappears and Scott becomes the suspect.
