The old dishrag, soaked and wrung out as occasion requires, is the source of all soup, through which, ever and anon, a resigned bean is passed, to give the dish atmosphere. Of course, Luke can't get away with this stuff, and the picture ends in a scrap that is "enjoyed by all.
