He will pass off recordings made by other pianists as Joyce's work. Initially shocked Joyce goes along with him and is pleased when critics are fooled. However one has his suspicions and the deception is exposed though Joyce dies before the news breaks, Barry maintaining that she knew nothing of the fraud.

Es poco profunda y sucede todo muy rápido. Las escenas y los periodos de tiempo son demasiado cortos y en general superficiales, con un ritmo que no resulta adecuado para la historia. No sé si hayan recortado demasiadas escenas para adaptar el filme a la televisión o si simplemente la directora es mala. Creo que son las dos, pero como sea, el resultado es una película que pareciera incompleta. De verdad se puede sentir que algo le falta. Lo que sucedió en la vida real con la señora Joyce Hatto es un relato bastante polémico y que podría haber funcionado muy bien en una adaptación cinemátográfica, sin embargo lo que sucede es todo lo contrario. Con una fotografía simple, actuaciones poco destacables, historia escasamente absorbente y un soundtrack que en ningún momento resulta brillante "Loving Miss Hatto" es un filme que podría ser agradable para una persona que busca perder el tiempo con una historia cualquiera, pero es, definitivamente, una cinta que se encuentra a años luz de ser una buena película. |
