User ReviewJesse OBest Chow's movie. Despite not having cg effect like Shaolin Soccer or Kung fu Hustle, it has brilliant cantonese jokes, garfield and ''Super (Wind) Flame Wheel'' to make up for it.
User ReviewKatherine CStephen Chow is at his best in one of his trademarked underdog stories. The Garfield sequences are stitched to the psyche of my core. The hero standing extremely erect in his suit, and the multiple Garfield's in a car are highlights. All to take advantage of the girl. Ng Man Tat also works wonderfully as the straight man to Chows hijinks. Though in the Chow universe, that is only so straight. Absurdity aside there is still some room for originality in this plot. Replacing the initial villain with a new and even more fiendish incarnation elevates the plot above the norm. The climax exists with an inventiveness only Chow could undertake and pull off. A lottery ball that appears out of nowhere pushes absurdity to the edge and triumphs.
User ReviewNick SInexplicable, completely ridiculous and very funny. Another great Chow comedy.
User ReviewJulie GThis movie made me into a Stephen Chow fan. Classic kung fu movie mixed with romantic comedy. It took me to funky town.
User ReviewYu ZI think this is so good! I've seen this a million times, but it just cracks me up! Chow plays a delivery guy who saves the girl he likes, but the trouble is, she thinks its someone else, and to prove its him, he must fight that person and try to stay alive as long as he can! I just love all gags in it like the bit where Ng Man Tat starts to throw random sharp objects into the air and it lands on everybody.
