Movie Reviews

Los Angeles Times - 9/10 by Martin TsaiThis rollicking crowd-pleaser might just be smart and substantive enough to be one of the year's best.
The Straits Times (Singapore) - 7/10 by Boon ChanApart from letting audiences play spot-the-Wong-Kar-Wai-reference, the movie also puts viewers in the mood for Cantopop.
Variety - 7/10 by Maggie LeeTrading the earlier film’s goofy fish-out-of-water gags for robust action acrobatics and fail-safe family drama, the laffer induces the warm-and-fuzzies as an ode to Hong Kong cinema and its role in mainland Gen-Xers’ sentimental coming of age.
South China Morning Post - 6/10 by Edmund LeeA full-on homage to the best of Hong Kong pop culture from the 1980s and '90s.
The New York Times - 5/10 by Helen T. VerongosPerhaps because it tries too hard to be too many things, the movie loses its punch.
User Review - 10/10 by Diyang QBest Chinese Movie I have ever seen in 5 years
User Review - 8/10 by Maria AA movie that is surprisingly fun and balances very silly humor with genuine sentimentality and sweetness.
User Review - 8/10 by Wei GWithout Baoqiang Wang and Bo Huang who were in lost in Thailand, I had concern but I was wrong, a great movie though director tried to put too many elements in and sometimes transition is not smooth...
User Review - 8/10 by Angela LLaughed through out the whole movie! A referenced heaven movie but still enjoyable as heck!
User Review - 6/10 by Jesse OSeen at AMC 25 at some autumn afternoon of 2015, with a lot of popcorn with a lot of flavors.
