While vacationing in the mountains, a young architect, John Talbot, meets Mary Carter at a mountain stream. They start a romance while neither knows the background of the other. Back in Los Angeles, they are thrown together at a party given by John's boss and benefactor, Norman Carter, where John learns that Mary is Mrs. Norman Carter.
