They battle hunger, parasites, and extreme financial stress as they attempt to survive life on the edge. An unimaginable reality for most young Americans, the challenges they face are real and plague over 1.1 billion people around the world. While the friends quickly learn there are no easy answers, the generosity and strength of Rosa, a 20 year old woman, and Chino, a 12 year old boy, give them resilient hope that there are effective ways to make a difference.

User ReviewNoor SThis film is incredible! It has completely changed my perspective of poverty and given me a lot of understanding! It has honestly majorly impacted my life.
User ReviewRob RThe film is filmed in a simple way, showing the bare truth of the day to day struggles in areas of poverty. It really opened my eyes on how much more appreciative people are in the simplest of things that we take for granted every day. What struck me the hardest was the blow of poverty in childrens lives and how it robs them of an education to pursue a dream . This film did a very good job of capturing all of the emotions from the people of that rural town and made such an impact on me.
User ReviewAuronee IMust watch documentary by four Canadian young men on the living conditions of people around the world who are barely surviving on less than one dollar a day and unpredictable income; yet managing to hold on to their good hearts and dreams. Also, a delightful account of Grameen Bank's Micro-Financing programs in enriching the livelihoods and empowering the poorest of the poor; especially. Dr. Yunus, you make me proud to be a Bangladeshi!!
User ReviewBrian DAmazing. We should all watch this before we complain about rising gas-prices and not being able to afford the new Iphone!

User ReviewMandi TThis is a great documentary! Even if you don't get the economics behind it it's still worth your time. It can help restore you're faith in humanity! In a world where so few people get along and so many people take things for granted, it really opens your eyes and humbles you. Love it.
User ReviewNathan SAn amazing look into the lives of poor Guatemalans. This film should make Americans realize that "first world problems" are something to be legitimately ashamed of. It should also encourage Americans to help.
User ReviewAlicia dMust watch! Very informative. Puts a lot of things into perspective.
