User ReviewCrusader .This short documentary should be viewed by the President, Vice President, and every member of the House and Senate! It features Virginia Tech survivor Colin Goddard who has since become a well-spoken activist to implement reasonable gun laws while still respecting the 14th Amendment. The film focuses in the insane gun show loophole we have in the United States that legally allows anyone off the street without identification, background check, etc., to purchase nearly any type of firearm from private parties. Further, even gun dealers who sell at these shows (which do require a check) are too easily prone to straw purchases, where the actual person providing identification, payment, etc., then simply hands the weapon to a different person after the sale! Living for 32 is a great testament why the gun show loophole must be stopped immediately!
User ReviewKatie SFellow Hokies will agree. A great inspirational story that I hope helps others to understand our tragedy and the issues our country faces today with gun violence.
User ReviewJake RFor a first time filmmaker, even for a short documentary, this was impressive. The film probably could've improved by having a much more focused and organized style, and applying this to background checks rather than moving to a much more general concept at times. Some of the shots seemed unnecessary and weird, but I can look past that. Otherwise, this is a very interesting documentary that serves its end quite well; creating debate and discussion for this topic.
