User ReviewOwen DIt's funny, and Jar Jar is way less annoying than he was in Star Wars I.
User ReviewEdgar LI own this as a bonus feature on the DVD of: * Lego Star Wars: The Padawan Menace (2011)
User ReviewWes SFor a short, it's pretty slow and lacking. The animation is nice, and it's meant to be just a fun little film, but there's nothing worth while here.
User ReviewI don't know wBooklover11's Short Reviews: This is the second movie of the 3 on the Blu-Ray box set; The Padawan Menace (Which is also the last movie in the set, and the main one at that, the other two were special features because of their short length. Oh and that movie will be reviewed soon too), which I have reviewed, as of now, one other film in the set, called The Quest for R2-D2, which is only 8 minutes long, as this ones only 5! But you should check out that one first, because this is the sequel. Anyways, To the review: This is a very smart and clever movie, but the gearing towards kids aspect really brings this film down, and also, it focuses way to much on Jar Jar Binks. The films plot is based loosely on the original trilogy, and it's done very well, but most of the screen time belongs to Jar Jar, who has no good factors to his scenes! Sure, there are plenty of awesome jokes in this movie, but those are only 10 seconds long, while the scenes with Jar Jar are stretched out over this 5 minute short. At times, I wish they would just kill off Jar Jar so the cleverness of this film can shine through, but that's not evident. Long story short, it tries to have a main character and running jokes, but fails at both, and you're just begging that this director made other films that are better than this. The only reason I'll say I like this film is because it's jokes are actually clever and laugh out loud funny, but it tries to hard to have a story, and that's what really brings down this film. I would only recommend it to the obsessed of Lego or Star Wars. 3 Stars.
