Kansas City KansanSteve CrumFunny Hope western farce, but inferior to its sequel "Son of Paleface."
EmanuelLevy.ComEmanuel LevyThe plot is slender and silly, but Bob Hope and Jane Russell have some good moments in a comedy that was very popualar and led to an equally popular sequel.
User ReviewAmika SPainless Peter Potter gets set up by a dame.....
User ReviewJ HHow is it people don't watch these? Bob Hope might not have written his own material but my God the man was funny!
User ReviewDarren APossibly Bob's best ever work in film.. The dentist scene is a classic and the tune of Buttons and Bows AWESOME....
User ReviewFIRE MI SURE MISS BOB...BUT HE HAS LEFT US SO MANY WONDERUL MOVIES AND THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST.
User ReviewScott RThe woman known for pushing her gum up to the roof of Robert Mitchum's mouth said in later life that Hope was the best kisser. Odd... The film here is a gem though and was the basis for the Don Knotts film: The Shakiest Gun In The West (1968). A must. Followed by a sequel: Son Of Paleface (1952).
User ReviewTed WBob hope at his best and Jane russell HOT!
User ReviewKathleen TThis film happens to be one of my favorites and will be one of them for a long time...don't be put off by the corny comedy, sometimes it's good to be corny..I mean, come on, we laugh at movies like wedding crashers and old school and napolean dynamite and dumb and dumber...this one is clever and just plain hilarious. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE!
User ReviewRay MDo NOT be put off by how old this is, this film has some of the funniest comedy i've seen in any film, the sort of lines that have you shaking and not being able to properly laugh and tears streaming down your face, seriously! A real classic!
