EVERY time I would try to predict things, I turned out to be wrong (which I loved to be proved wrong in this area). The makeup/ effects were mind-blowing! I misjudged this movie from the start, thinking I was not going to like it. It surprised me at every turn that is why I give it five stars. Give it a try you might be surprised!

I rarely watch more modern horror movies because my expectations are so low for them, but I was pulled into watching this just to see the effects on display. And I got far more than just some nice effects work. The movie started off how I expected, I expected it to be loud and gruesome with annoying characters, I didn't expect much. But very quickly past the first ten minutes, I realized this movie was actually not going in the direction that was the easiest. The characters for me are what made this movie and set is apart from many I've seen with this much gore. The characters feel like people in the best sense. They care about each other and react like people. The extreme gore feels correct to me because the killer uses it almost like his own traps, causing characters to panic and make mistakes like someone seeing these things would do. Almost using the gore as a way to constantly have an upper hand. Whenever I felt the movie would steer on an easy path, it didn't. When it introduces "douche-bag bro" characters they quickly get their shit together and act like people once they realize that something very dangerous is happening. The reactions feel genuine and pull you in. The effects I must say were also quite nice. They're at a forefront but they're very good and it was refreshing to see practical work. I really was amazed at the quality put into this movie and I wish more people would at least give it a chance if they don't mind gore. Horror movies are my favorite thing to watch, but there are very few actually worth spending time on, so my recommendation for this isn't just coming out of nowhere. It was an incredible treat to find this movie.

Acting is decent enough, better than what you'd usually get from a movie like this and the killer is pretty cool but it's the gore that matters and they don't pussy out. Plus it has Sean Whalen and everyone loves Sean Whalen.
User Review - 10/10 by Bruce BTHE VERY BEST SLASHER / HORROR FILM THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A VERY LONG TIME. OH NOT FOR THE WEAK AT HEART OR STOMACH. Great job Anchor Bay. From start to finish this movie will have you on the edge of your seat. Bobbi Sue Luther plays the girl on the run (and I would be running too). She plays her part good, except where one has no doubt (Implants). Must say I enjoyed Lena Headey short appearance especially when she took the huge knife through the skull. And the one guy I wouldn't want after me was Nick Principe who played the Chrome Skull, what an idea, bet Vince McMahoon on WWE wish he came up with it. Anyway the Chrome Skull is a serial killer who films his kills, and he's traveling up the east coast, heck the fool even stopped in Macon Georgia and not for BBQ. This is one very wild film, best seen on a night when the wind is blowing, its raining, thunder and lightning, bet you will jump a time or two. 5 Stars No Less, In my Collection and oh yes I will watch it again and Again And Again.

User Review - 10/10 by Max Mvery strange horror film that introduces a new screen of terror named chromeskull which chromeskull isnt like the traditional boogeymen on the screen robert hall's screenplay is just off the wall and very disturbing very nasty indie horror film great blood and nasty death scenes that almost make the viewer feel sick to the stomach just a classic laid to rest is like the blair witch project meets saw but gorier.
