Mexico City, 1960. Aurelia lives a happy life with her husband, Andrés, and their daughters, Leonor and Beatriz. The family becomes so alienated and bizarre that they start to mirror the surreal house they live in and both disintegrate in unison.Ciudad de México, 1960. Auerelia vive feliz con Andrés y sus pequeñas Leonor y Beatriz. En visperas de tener a su tercera hija, él muere en un accidente. Años después, Leonor, la hija mayor, ha dejado los estudios para ayudar a Aurelia a mantener la casa. Beatriz, inmersa en la música, deja que la vida se la resbale como una extraña melodía.
