In the Philadelphia police department, Emmett Young is a hotshot, a workaholic newly promoted to homicide. He learns he has a disease that will soon kill him painfully, so he hires a stranger to arrange his own death. | User ReviewErika RI do not understand how this movie didn't get around and get like...insanely famous because it was one of the best effing movies I've ever seen. In my life. No joke! Scott Wolf did wonderfully, but the real prize belongs to Tim's melancholy killer. The ending *SPOILERS* after they've shot each other and Tim goes sits down next to him is the finest piece of dying I've seen. Ever. |

| User Reviewscott ga young promising detective gets news hes dying of a terminal illness, scott wolf who ive not really seen since the exellent go, and from a encounter with a shady charactor played by gabriel burn, contracts a killer to kill himself, here exellently played by tim roth. so off he goes waiting for time to come while still doing his job hunting a killer for a case hes on, this film is b movie material, but really well made, down certainly to wolf, but roth steals show as shady killer, who being a failed detective, takes a interest to the sucessful detective, the story moves along nicely, with one or two turns that keeps it going, and the performances taking it up a notch, and hopefully ill be seeing wolf do more |

| User ReviewKatie MFirst of all, with Gabriel Byrne and Tim Roth this movie was bound to be nice viewing. Then again with Snyder as the director...I had second thoughts. The movie didn't hold up to well, the concept was nice but a little droopy...but despite all that Gabriel and Tim were just beautiful. |
| User ReviewRobert HCop is told he'll die shortly and painfully. A stranger offers to help him hire a hitman for himself. He accepts - and finds out that he's not dying. Mixed in with a serial rapist case he's working on, the story of his hired killer, the movie is quite original for a B-movie. It's slightly bland, but the characters and plot are interesting enough to watch. I found it a positive surprise. |

I did find the story a little far fetched and also more predictable than I would have liked, but it always held my interest. Good use of Philadelphia locale shooting. Nothing great but good enough for one viewing anyway. |
