Washington PostMichael O'SullivanThe film is at its most moving, paradoxically, when the camera gets down to street level, seeming to squeeze, for example, into a small shop in the walled Old City, where two men play backgammon amid claustrophobically over-hung racks of trinkets.
Daily Express (UK)Henry FitzherbertBenedict Cumberbatch narrates with effortless authority but it's the personal stories of three attractive young women, present day inhabitants representing the three faiths, which make this a moving and vital production.
Boston GlobeEthan GilsdorfThis IMAX spectacular largely does what it’s supposed to fascinate, educate, and visually wow the audience, in 45 minutes or less.
Seattle TimesTom KeoghLaudable for turning armchair tourism into a breathtaking experience - a viewer can truly feel as if he or she has gone inside a number of fantastic, ancient places.
Toronto StarLinda BarnardYou can all but feel the heat of blazing candles in the Orthodox pre-Easter ritual of the Holy Fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the most impressive scene in a dazzling film.
Canada.comJay StoneThe film unearths some of this history as well, even if at times it feels like a quick course in comparative religion. Its message is familiar -- let's all try to get along -- but the views are remarkable.
VarietyElla TaylorFerguson’s careful, painfully banal script keeps sidling up to the neverending conflict that splits this lovely city in two, then backing away into conciliatory but meaningless bromides about intercultural understanding. He probably should have stuck with the gorgeous vistas.
User ReviewDale SThe movie was so very good to watch. The scenes were beautiful and very well filmed. Loved the way they presented the view from the three different cultures. I would watch again given the opportunity.
User ReviewBryan STook the whole family and loved it! Amazing cinematography!
User ReviewLisa HHaving had the chance to go to Jerusalem in 2013 I knew this was a film I had to see. The film takes you right back to all the sights, smells, culture and beautiful people that live in this incredible city. It is absolutely breathtaking and will give you goose bumps. Extremely well done and a must see.
