Inspector Chu (Chocolate) is an idiot to rival Inspector Clouseau. After he fails to catch a car-park full of thieves he is demoted to the missing persons squad, only to be faced with the kidnapping of the son of the star of a TV cooking show. Inspector Chocolate (so called because of his fondness for Smarties) bungles the case, fails to dance the tango and interferes with the Miss Hong Kong pageant in his attempts to solve the case.... | User ReviewMovie KQuite alright comedy. Michael Hui is an inspector who likes chocolates. Ricky Hui is his partner. They both stake out to catch a pair of thieves stealing car radio. Their car can't chase them in the end. Sibelle Hu is a TV artiste who has 2 children. Michael is transfer to missing person unit. His boss Roy Chiao send a partner to learn from him. She is his daughter Anita Mui who is a rookie and also contestant of beauty pageant. Michael Chow is another loggerhead of Michael Hui. There is a crazy woman who always go to the station to make weird reports. One of the boy is missing. The brother describe the kidnapper look like Jesus. The trio go to her house to track the call. Ricky and Anita go to Sibelle pastry shop to investigate and a cockroach crawl on her. Ricky try to flush it out and on the hot water instead. Roy is angry of Michael's incompetence to solve the case. While the trio is practising on the behavior during the pageant, the kidnapper call to demand 1 million ransom. The baddie is Chan Wai-Man and he want Sibelle to run around to prove she didn't call police. The trio fumble and the whole plan is blown. Chan call again for another meeting. Michael tell Sibelle they won't follow her this time but secretly did so. Chan ask her to wait in a cubicle and he grab the money. They manage to catch him but turns out he is just cashing in on the situation, not the real kidnapper. Chow is setting a roadblock to nail a child smuggling syndicate. A truck belongs to them is trap. Anita saw something fishy and chase it. Michael jump onto the truck and enter the container. Both manage to stop the truck. Total of 5 kids saved but none is the boy. Roy handover the case to Chow. The crazy woman tell Michael the boy is trap under 5 finger mountain and rowing boat with Jesus everyday. Sibelle tell him her ex chauffeur threaten her before. They trace his address. Ricky didn't keep watch for him when he go home. The guy trap Anita and luckily Michael save her. Chow bust the scene and bring him back to station. Roy declare case close and scold Michael. He wash his face in the toilet and looking out, he saw the so call 5 finger mountain, which is a factory opposite. The trio find the crazy woman for the location. She says the guy lives in one of the junk. Anita call HQ while the duo monitor. They are expose and pretend to wait for him to cut hair. Anita distract him and they tussle. The Jesus grab the boy and escape. The junk is on fire. Michael manage to convince the Jesus to let the boy go. He also save the man. Anita hurt her leg. The boy reunite with Sibelle who is so happy. Michael is the hero and Roy assure him of the promotion and also decide Anita to be under him. She can't continue the pageant due to the injury. |
