It's turn of the century America when Andrew and Veronica first meet - by crashing into each other. MGM musical mainstays Judy Garland and Van Johnson star in a tuneful remake of The Shop Around the Corner, about two pen pals who fall in love without realizing they work together in the same shop...( read more read more... ); and don't like each other much! Set in turn-of-the-century Chicago, the movie features the film "debut" of 2-year-old Liza Minnelli (glimpsed in the last scene cradled in her mother's -- Judy's -- arms). |

It's funny, romantic, charming, great chemistry between the leading parts, great music and of course the talent of the one and only JUDY GARLAND... I think is definitely one of my favorite movies of her. By the way t the end you see Liza Minnelli freaking cute little girl! |
