DVDTalk.comDavid CorneliusOne of the duo's finest works together, a rip-snorting screwball comedy that bounces from silliness to insanity with spectacular ease.
Common Sense MediaNell MinowDelightful Powell and Loy romantic comedy.
Movie MetropolisJohn J. Puccio...it probably doesn't get the credit it deserves, and it's really quite good.
Ozus' World Movie ReviewsDennis SchwartzIt gets off to a fast start but dies in the stretch.
User Reviewjay nA little bird on the branch... Tweet, tweet. So good. You guys are too critical. "Libeled Lady", really? Kind of obvious. I do like"My Man Godfrey". This is a classic example of why Loy/Powell are so great. They were never actually dating. Incidentally, I loved "Gilmore Girls" a couple of years back and I feel that they mimicked the dialogue in these movies. So quick and snappy. They were obviously trying for that energy.
User ReviewBecca WA great romantic comedy with Powell and Loy.
User ReviewCurtis MI love this film, again, and again. I watch this when I'm happy, sad, lonely, or in good company. My favorie movie pair back at the zanny antics again. Best scenes to me are Powell dancing with himself and "tracking the wild buck"...oh the hilarity! Remember though, as my psychology proff told me...you don't cure amnesia by hitting someone on the head, you just increase the brain damage! Salient advice for us all! Another good lesson...taxidermy will not improve your dating life!
User ReviewDaniel KWilliam Powell & Myrna Loy together again. It's POETRY!
User ReviewRussell GIt's the best non-Thin Man film Myrna Loy and William Powell ever made. It's hilarious and it sports the great chemistry between the two leads. The inclusion of Frank McHugh is just icing on the cake.
User ReviewAmy DThis is truly a hit for this power DUO!1 Powell truly makes love to Loy in a way that would win every female heart out there. This movie has you hoping for each character with just as much gusto. The ending with truly leave you "coo'ing" A MUST SEE!!!
