| User ReviewRuben Adespite all the negativity this film get, i found it rather good. entertaing and even slightly frightening. i recomend this early 80's slasher gem...and it was made by the guy who brought us the great prom night! i love that movie! :D but seriously, this film gets way too much hate. ive seen worse, much worse! and the version i saw wasnt all that dark, its probably just the vhs, because i read online, this person saw it when it came out and said it wasnt even that dark, it was the vhs copy that was dark. |

| User ReviewHollie TIf you liked American Gothic and haven't seen Humongous, I suggest checking it out, same applies if you've seen Humongous and liked it but haven't seen American Gothic, vice versa, etc, etc. There were quite a few similarities but different enough to be it's own movie and enjoyable. Humongous almost reminded me of a Richard Laymon novel, that is, of course, if the son living in the basement on the island was also a perverted rapist. |
