The New York Times - 5/10 by Glenn KennyFor all of its failings, the movie sometimes manages to bring a scary whiff of the street into its sounds and images.

Los Angeles Times - 2/10 by Michael RechtshaffenThere's a distinction to be made between old school and old hat, but it's lost on Honor Up, a criminally inept throwback to '90s urban gangsta movie posturing that plays like a stone-faced version of the 1996 Wayans brothers spoof, "Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood."

User Review - 2/10 by v aIt was a piece of crap. The stories jumped from scene to scene without much structure. I couldn't really see a solid plot. The characters were underdeveloped. The acting was horrible. The actors were too old for the roles. It was a waste of money and time--would have done better as a book. The only reason I'm giving it a star is out of respect for Dame Dash.
