Common Sense MediaBarbara Shulgasser'70s Easter classic has very mild scares and peril.
User ReviewAndrew LIt really says something that Hollywood is digging into the ancient hallowed archives of Rankin/Bass to plunder/rework/tart up past glories. Like many, this has been recently remade, and like many, they shouldn't have bothered trying. With Vincent Price as Irontail, Danny Kaye as narrator/Mr Sassafrass and Kasey Kasum (!) as Peter, this is the one to watch.
User ReviewShelby PA classic coming of age story starring Casey Kasem as the intrepid young Peter Cottontail. When January Q. Irontail (Vincent Price of 13 Ghost of Scooby Doo fame) takes over April Valley, its up to Peter, with a little help from an eccentric peddler, known as Seymour S. Sassafrass (Danny Kaye), to travel through time (Represented by giant floating calendars) and rescue April Valley from Irontail's clutches.
