EmanuelLevy.ComEmanuel LevyA below mediocre adaptation of the popular novel that is nonetheless served well by the two female leads, but all representative of the adults world (parents, teachers, psychologists) are narrow, standard-issue constructions.
Apollo GuideBrian WebsterA kids' movie that's more serious - and substantial - than most.

Jam! MoviesJohn Paul PowellNick's methodology is way, way, outta synch with the spirit of Louise Fitzhugh's award-winning book.
Chicago Sun-TimesRoger Ebert...the pacing is slow and there are scenes that seem amateurish...
San Francisco ExaminerBarbara ShulgasserThis movie may not be brilliant, but every now and then it's really funny.
Boston GlobeJay CarrFresh and charming, it never plays down to kids.
Film.comKeith SimantonThere's dancing, and bubble blowing and bed bouncing that's entirely aimless and Harriet's neighborhood sleuthing becomes particularly pointless.
User ReviewAmanda Gyeah i got expelled and fought about half of my elementary school for making a slam book...thanks Harriet! lol
User ReviewSabeena PI think it was y favorite movie when I was little. I remember watching again in fourth grade and our teacher muting the volumn and covering the screen at all the so-called 'innapropriate' parts. But really, there weren't any, and it was the one of the first movie that really showed how horrible and great childhood is.
