User ReviewJason DCreepy early 90's slasher that centers on a madman who killed Frat boys (Hmm, we should be thanking him) and now he has been rotting away in an asylum for over 20 years. Here is a great idea, how about some more frat boys accidentally set him free. Sure enough, the killing happens again. The deaths and gore are pretty top notch in this one. Also, Kudos to the filmmakers for making the killer very creepy looking, almost like a zombie or inhuman. Hopefully this will teach those frat boys for being douchbags all of the time and date raping anything with a cunt.
User ReviewDayna NI have to disagree with the masses on this one. Happy Hell Night is basically your usual Slasher fare but what sets it apart from other slashers is the killer priest "this is not a spoiler" who freaked me out and scared me SO bad I was petrified for weeks.. and I don't scare easily at all~!! There are some very good kills in this movie.. although the story gets bogged down a bit I still watch this on a cold dark night with all the lights off and every time I watch it, the first time I see the Killer Priest in the insane asylum in his dungeon like cell pretending to be catatonic with the roach crawling on him and later when he speaks "even though some of his lines are cheesy" .OMG his voice is as scary as he is himself,I get CREEPED OUT.. Plus it has some HOT men in it for us ladies..and for the men , pretty naked chicks.. Turn off the lights and watch it ..I DARE YOU

User ReviewErik OIt's just your typical fun Slasher Flick. I was hooked as soon as the RAMONES-style theme song started playing. Father Malius is one of the creepier Horror villains out there; some of the one-liners that he delivers after each murder are pretty funny. Not for everyone, but I definitely liked it.
User ReviewMichael WThis movie was filmed in 1988 under the title "Frat Fright".
User ReviewLuvunya OI have this in my collection under Frat Fright. Pretty good slasher flik
User ReviewBill BThis was okay as far as slashers go, it's amusing to see a few now well known faces (Sam Rockwell & Jorja Fox), as well as a few familair faces slumming it a bit (Darren McGavin), and there is some okay gore. The look of the killer is creepy enough, and his odd speech patterns are a bit off-putting, but by the end of this film I wasn't all that engaged with things on the whole. This may've been down to my not caring about a bunch of fratboys, which is entirely possible, or just that the film isn't all that well written. Rental?
