In a cyberpunk future, Kyron-5 supercomputer attempts to exterminate the human race, but Gunhed mechs stop it. In 2038, five thieves break into a condemned island facility to steal Kyron's dead CPU. The place turns out to be a deathtrap. Brooklyn's smuggling companions are slaughtered, sometimes violently, one by one as they wantonly defy the security systems of the Kyron-5. Babe falls into a vat of green liquid and becomes a cybernetic antagonist. Brooklyn is placed under arrest by Sergeant Nim, who suggests they follow surviving children Seven and Eleven. The Kyron-5 declared war on humanity, and killed most of those living on the island. Brooklyn, a mechanic, must overcome his fear of cockpits and command the Gun UNit/Heavy Elimination Device to the heart of the Kyron-5.

User ReviewEd DA good watch as far as Japanese movies go.
User ReviewxGary XEnjoyable live action manga that has the obligatory enormous robots, crew of world weary, wise-cracking characters and bizarre japanese spiritualism. Great fun for manga fans, utterly incomprehensible to all others, this also has some great model effects and nicely faithful production design. The only drawbacks are the fact that it is dubbed (but tolerably so) and the fact that the plot relies a little too heavily on techno babble, so don't expect a great amount of depth or complex character development. But if you're a fan of the Final Fantasy films or just enjoy watching cool looking japanese robots beating seven shades out of each other, this will definitely appeal!
User ReviewBevan JI represent the sizeable chunk of viewers who learnt about this movie from the inspired cutting and pasting done to it in FLA's 1992 hit 'Mindphaser' that turned it into a colourful and frenzied six minute battle, so naturally I was rather let down by the actual movie. If you intend to grasp the plot it will require several sittings, but the sporadic use of the decent special effects quickly drains your stamina in that department.
User ReviewPrivate Ugot some nice bits in it, dubbing was a bit of a mess, good for the hardcore manga fans

User ReviewMegan PUnfortunately it was just terrible, and not terribly hilarious.
User ReviewMatthew CI can't adequately comment on this movie, because I have NO idea what was going on.There's no character, no plot, nothing! It was a bunch of Japanese people doing stupid things that confuse the hell out of you! In fact, the only good thing about it is that it isn't Transformers 2!
