| User ReviewPaul CNot sure how close to the actual clasic poem this is (as i've not read it) but seemed a more faithful adaptation than the recent lacklustre fully-CGI effort. Yes the acting is below-par and the CGI Grendal is amateurish, but bearing in mind it's obvious limited budget - i have seen far worse! |
| User ReviewItamar KThe Zemeckis version got a lot of hate but this one makes you appreciate the things it did have - good acting and impressive CGI work. While it's true that this version is more faithful to the original poem, and may hold some entertainment value for 10-14 year olds, it has very little value as a piece of film. |

I guess my only questions are, 1) Since when did Beowulf have a freaking portable canon/grenade launcher?!?! 2) Why oh why, did Marina Sirtis appear in this film? 3) Will they ever make a damn Beowulf film that's even passable? |
