Movie HabitMarty MapesFor such an important subject; it's too bad this documentary isn't more rock-solid
User ReviewSusan CShould been shown in every high school civics class.
User ReviewJoyce YA frustrating, meandering documentary, mostly showing various military officials and former prisoners refusing to cooperate with the filmmakers, or giving rather unshocking testimony. Aside from this, the film mostly deals in unproven rumors, speculation, and conjecture. And when one of the main sources for a documentary about abuses at Guantanamo Bay is the disgraced former commander of the Abu Ghraib prison, who has never actually been to Guantanamo, you know the film has problems. Did they really say "no one had heard [the term 'unlawful combatant'] before", when in fact the term has been used for at least 100 years? And that the US military tortures prisoners by making them listen to Fleetwood Mac, Matchbox 20, and Kris Kristofferson? Good grief.
