User Review - 10/10 by Bryce PMy instincts have always told me that children, teens, and adults have been over-diagnosed and over-medicated with things such as ADD and depression. This documentary takes that instinct and makes it real and scientific. The most shocking part of the documentary is when it is revealed that suicides on these medication occured during testing.

User Review - 10/10 by Chris FWhoa....Ok, this was an EYE OPENER! And, it only really looks at the FDA....i wonder if the Canadian equivalent is the same? I kinda hope not. Although it really only looks at Ritalin and Prozac - it SHOULD open the eyes of - not only the PARENTS, but the kids as well who are placed in these "Mental Disorder" Categories....to examine the drug. The FDA is supposed to keep American's safe....yet, they cover up any kind of suicide, or any side effect for that matter - that makes the drug look "Bad" and "Unsafe". Well, i was on Effexor for a little over 5 years...and, i do remember there being a warning in BOLD CAPS that said "If you experience any suicidal thoughts, or things get worse....contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately". The movie is divided up into 3 parts....and, the first one looks at Ritalin, and the other 2 look at Prozac. They ALL look at the FDA's role - and, their "Cover ups" - because, let's face it....they're all lobbyists for the drug companies. These drugs were NEVER made for kids...yet, they're forced down their throats. NOT FOR THAT! And, even listening to what happened to OLDER people on Prozac....was tear shedding. I give this movie props for uncovering what they did....and, is probably one of the BEST documentaries you'll see about prescription drugs, SSRI's, etc. This is all FACT based, people! And, really....i would recommend this to parents AND people contemplating whether or not to go on an anti-depressant - or similar....and, not just the ones mentioned in this movie, as they ALL bring about the SAME warnings!

User Review - 8/10 by Dot LA jaw dropping look at how misinformation has shaped american culture and led us into a sense of false security. Chances are that after watching this movie you think of a loved one of a dear friend that has been affected.

The pharmaceutical companies have colluded with your family doctors & child shrinks over the years and the result is an agenda of quick (& perhaps false) diagnosis's coupled with endless prescriptions of drugs that might actually make your child worse off. ADHD, OCD, severe depression, & even bi-polar disorders are regularly being diagnosed in children nowadays...even as early as 4 years of age! Well over 1 million kids in this country (& growing) are on some form of behavior modification drugs. Teachers, family doctors, & even child psychiatrists are becoming quick to feed your kids some drugs because they "can't pay attention" or "can't sit still" or perhaps they "act out too much". What are the impacts of these drugs on young developing brains? Where are the FDA regulations on drugs prescribed to children? How can 4 & 5 year-olds be diagnosed with bi-polar disorders? Some crazy shit people!!! I highly recommend all with young kids, all teachers, & all else who are interested...WATCH THIS DOC! Red Box might not have it, but Netflix Instant does.
