7M PicturesKevin CarrI do long for the days of the cynical, bitter Garfield of yesteryear, but I can handle this for the time being.
The National (UAE)James Luxfordperhaps at best a diverting, brief trip to the cinema that will keep very young viewers happy during the wait for the big studio family films.
Daily Express (UK)Allan HunterThis brief animated feature feels like a bit of a cheap rip-off that might work as a time-filler on children's television but doesn't warrant the expense of a family trip to the cinema.
User Reviewjohn tGarfield as a Super Hero is Coooool. In 3D this will be awesome.
User ReviewBarry NGarfield is by far one of the most progressive films in years. A multi-layered story, with modern day subtleties. The depth of jon's character alone is remarkable. Garfield's Pet Force takes place in the roaring 20's, were new money was rising fast but old money still reined supreme. Jon a closeted homosexual, must deal with his public persona of a pugnacious tomcat, which he himself has created. He is besided by his malovolent, but ambigous cat, Sir Garfield. Sir Garfield struggles with inner demons throughout the movie, but confronts his inner self in a captivating third act. Odie is the comic relief as a hate-filled Neo-nazi. Akward situations arise as jon begins to date liz, a conservative jewish princess. It doesn't matter where you watch this masterpiece, whether it be in the warm bath tub or the local pub, maybe even in the comfort of your own home, who knows. One thing is for sure, The last revelation in the thrid act is dripping with emotion, as Jon outs himself, odie puts a gun to his head, and Sir Garfield is the one who pulls the trigger.
User ReviewEve CI love Garfield and it was fun to watch this Bigscreen animated full feature movie where Garfield, Jon, Odie, Arlene and Nermal live in Cartoon Land, this is the 1st time that I have Odie and Nermal with voices, this movie sees Garfield not wanting to partake in anything except eat lasange , until the muscular super cat and leader of the Pet Force Garzooka comes crashing straight out the pages of the comic book and into Cartoon World looking for suitable replacements for the PET FORCE who are under the spell of the evil Vetfix who looks alot like Johns girlfriend vet , Arlene is the perfect fit for Starlene , Odie as Odius and Nermal also fits the form of a super fast kitten This is a Good Holiday movie and the cinema was packed with kiddies cheering on the garfield like super kittty Garzooka and there is a good message of true friendship and that love conquers all.
User Reviewalex gI watched this film in 3-D. I gotta say, it was pretty awesome! The 3-D was kind of blurry (one defect), but the 3-D blew my mind! Fairly good story, voicing was good so it's a good movie.
User ReviewPrivate UVery nice enjoyment, and the kids laugh a lot.
User ReviewJen LI watched the local version with the soundtrack substituted into local language. This is a funny one, well, however, a little short. I can never imagine that Garfield can be a 'super-cat'.
