Inspector Owen finds him there, too, wanting to question him about a recent spate of murders. Talbot escapes and finds Maleva, the old gypsy woman who knows his secret: when the moon is full, he changes to a werewolf. She travels with him to locate the one man who can help him to die - Dr. Frankenstein. The brilliant doctor proves to be dead himself, but they do find Frankenstein's daughter. Talbot begs her for her father's papers containing the secrets of life and death. She doesn't have them, so he goes to the ruins of the Frankenstein castle to find them himself. There he finds the Monster, whom he chips out of a block of ice. Dr. Mannering catches up with him only to become tempted to monomania while using Frankenstein's old equipment.

Cinema CrazedFelix Vasquez Jr.Middling Universal horror fodder, at best.
MetroActiveRichard von Busack"The last great Universal Frankenstein movie, despite the overstuffed title."
Antagony & EcstasyTim BraytonPretty much the end of Universal's horror line as a home for even the vaguest kind of serious filmmaking.

User ReviewMurchison CWho cane ver forget the clmatic battle sequence between teh wolfman and frankenstein as the damn collapses and the flood waters rush in! Pulse pounding excitement!
User ReviewJacob TIt will scary you out of your mind. See it.
User ReviewJohn BPeople who review this movie poorly generally review it as if it were made in 2003, not 1943. Universal was at its heyday during this period, and although even as kids we wanted a longer battle at the end, it left the kids begging for more. Done in black and white with the classic scenes of graveyards, castles, and the sadness viewers felt for Chaney's tormented wolfman, it is a classic that every kid was thrilled to see listed as showing on Fri and Sat night spook shows!

User ReviewPrivate UAs good a premise you can get by throwing two monsters together, But Bela Lugosi fails as frankenstein although not as bad as Lon Chaney Jr did. The thing that pisses me off here is that the Wolf Man deserved his own sequel
User ReviewWoody WLove this movie. Love the concept, the story-telling, the weird Lugosi creature, the mood and setting. Classic.
