| User ReviewJeff JThe live performance sequences in this film are just as powerful and entertaining as anything that exists in mainstream cinema. Zappa is at his best, both in attitude and presence. His interactions with the onstage camera crew and with the audience members is so much fun to watch! The high point of this film has GOT to be Terry Bozzio doing Disco Boy. Fact of the matter, he's made for you! |
| User ReviewDaniel LSo... holy shit. This was nothing short of a sensory explosion, I'm not sure how else to put it. The musicianship is incredible, the classic Zappa dark humor is at its finest, the audience is part of the act, and the claymation was otherworldly. For a movie that fell just under three hours, I don't think I was bored the entire time. It doesn't have direction in the classic movie sense of the word, but reel-to-reel probably the most entertaining thing I've ever seen put to film. |

One of the coolest keyboard and drum solos I have ever seen on this DVD a must watch for anyone who plays guitar. . . . . The stop motion bits are intense but it can help if you are really stoned whilst watching it. . . . . |

| User ReviewJake SThe thing that I absolutley love about this movie was not only the music and the animation, For me, it showed me the potential of the human imagination. Frank Zappa was a fucking genuis, and even though he is gone, he left a cave of work that has yet to be heard. |
