User Review - 10/10 by Candice MGreat movie!! ! ! !.I loved it. It's exciting, and in a way, it's also a love story, of a love that can't be. Indian chief loves captive woman, but she has husband to escape back to. Sad for Wildcat.
User Review - 10/10 by Katie LFor this genre, this was a thoroughly enjoyable family movie. It is not surprising that it's based on a true story. It is beautifully shot, but I'm sure the book is a far richer story is more smoothly written. Given that I'm glad I watched! The difficult choices this woman had to make are easy for anyone to fathom, who can imagine being held in captivity. She also shows how hard work and effort pay off. How can you not love that!
User Review - 8/10 by LeeAnn RThis is a fun movie and I have to say that Eric Schweig is one of my favorite actors.
User Review - 8/10 by Brett SI really liked this film. I was quite impressed with Sheryl's performance, & she did some incredible things in this film. Quite heartbreaking in parts, & emotional, & I really liked it.
User Review - 8/10 by Donna FI had read the book, and the movie was surprisingly well done.
User Review - 8/10 by DG jWhen a young colonial woman is captured by hostile Shawnee warriors, she uses her courage and intelligence to escape with another female captive, crossing the dangerous Virginia wilderness in search of her lost home. Based on the novel by James Alexander Thom.
User Review - 6/10 by Kirstie KNever had heard of this movie before, but got it for $3.00 at a discount store. It wasn't bad. It lacked a lot of hollywood stuff, but still a great inspirational movie.
User Review - 6/10 by Melissa MPretty good. Mary was quite a strong woman, indeed (I was glad she didn't forget her husband), but it was rather disturbing to see how she and Gretl treated each other when they were trying to escape. Lots of sadness, yet not altogether so. I also wish the husband were shown to be a little braver, like his wife, although it was focusing more on her story, so that's understandable.
