Alice and her sister Moa live in a dysfunctional family. Their father Olle is an alcoholic and their mother Kerstin cannot handle the situation. At Alice's birthday Olle hasn't bought any present to his daughter. Although he is drunk, he takes her on a ride in his car, to buy her a dog.
