User Review - 10/10 by Private Uboth leads are great; Tritigant is part animal, machine, lost soul; Delon knowis exactly how much to care about anything; a great police procedural,
User Review - 8/10 by Louis DJacques Deray dismisses the reconstructionist approach to crime films used by his contemporaries (Jean Luc Godard and Jean Pierre Melville) through refusal of an artistic treatment and the use of traditional, albeit expertly presented, narrative devices. Without application of these more accessible facets, Flic Story would have obscured a brilliant character study regarding the necessity of desperation when working to achieve status or committing acts of revenge.
