| User ReviewDustin DWith the funky 70s soundtrack, lots of nudity and violence, and ridiculous moments, Female Yakuza Tale is pure Japanese pink sexploitation fun. It might not be as outrageous as similar films, but it's still a rip-roaring good time. |
| User ReviewSpooky GOver-the-top exploitation with a few nasty scenes so I get not everyone likes it. Plot is not too easy to follow, but the theatrical acting and extremely varied soundtrack more than makes up for it. The villains especially are a colorful bunch of stereotypes. Don't watch if you can't stand nudity or crude sexual gags. |
| User ReviewTerra MSequel to Sex & Fury, not directed by Norifumi Suzuki but still featuring the artsy and hip cinematography so prominent in these 70s japanese exploitation movies - indeed, they never look cheap. A bit hard to follow at times, and not as good as the Suzuki movies overall, but still great fun, enhanced by a great soundtrack of psychedelic jazz and wah-wah guitars. |
| User Reviewscott gDespite its awesome opening credit - maybe the coolest ever made - the film itself is not very good and fails to impress. Far from movies like "Lady Snowblood" and "Naked Rashomon", "Female Yakuza Tale" is just downright cheesy. Interesting music, though. |
| User ReviewLewis CI'm not really sure what I was expecting from Female Yakuza Tale, but it certainly wasn't what I ended up seeing. The movie is boring and more than a little disgusting. I'm all up for a little sleaze, but this didn't appeal to me at all. Only watch this if you know for sure it's the kind of movie you're looking for. |
