User ReviewAdam LWednesday, September 8, 2010 (1979) The Fearless Hyena DUBBED ACTION/ COMEDY Seen this film dubbed even though the subtitle version is alot longer, the film though is still quite good even without the scenes that were cut out! Known to be as the first film Jackie was credited as a director, which is full of slapstick comedy and martial arts that is perfect for his energitic persona! This chop sockey film's silly plot only serves as a backdrop to showcase Jackie's ingenious comedy timing and fighting skills. 4/4
User ReviewDean MI don't know whats with films on this page, but the dates are wrong with old Jackie Chan films. This was made in 1978 and released the same time as his big break Drunken Master. The plot is similar to Jackie others hits in that year such as Snake in Eagles Shadow and Drunken Master. The plot in Fearless Hyena is similar to snake in eagles shadow as in a revenge story about an orphan (Jackie), who starts off as a mischief nad gets a hard lesson in life when he loses someone dear to him, trains with an old kook and gets revenge on the culprits. Plot isn't much, but the choregraphy is worth mention and credit. I believe it's superior to snake in eagles shadow and on par with Drunken Master. So if 70s traditional kung fu (wuxia) movies or jackie movies are ur thing. Deffo give this a gd go.
User ReviewChris Dclassic jackie chan. definitely one of the top movies he's done. way before his american made movies that don't even compare to this. 100% better than his new stuff.
User ReviewJason JJackie Chan is jacked... one of his best... a very good movie
User ReviewKaneda !One of Jackie Chan's best, absolutely awesome.
User ReviewBurton DAnother Chan classic. The kung fu is a bit more on the made-up side (emotion kung fu!) but it's from the greatest kung fu star ever. The training scenes rival SITES and DM.
