User ReviewBob RStarts off all Blair Witch...then goes MENTAL!!!!!
User ReviewAl MA solid, creepy, and engaging piece of found-footage horror, Evidence opens with a set-up familiar to anyone who has seen The Blair Witch Project or any of its countless knock-offs. But Evidence quickly diverges from standard found-footage fare and develops a uniquely unsettling, surprising, and really brutal plot. The film will definitely not disappoint found-footage fans.
User ReviewRamsi Nthe best lost footage movie out there slow start but stick with it.
User ReviewRuby HThis little gem, like [REC], will undoubtedly grow in stature as more and more horror fans discover it. And though it will probably never grow as big as that modern classic it does have its own little bag of goodies, most entertaining being the way it pushes the audience to a completely new (for the genre) direction. In other words, you'll have a really hard time guessing where the movie is going. Another big plus is the cast, all very natural and believable with a sympathetic script gently pushing the feature forward until things begin to go to hell. And they go pedal-on-the-floor fast. The whole affair wraps up about 70 minutes later while action still happens when the credits roll, so the movie never outstays its welcome. Highly recommended.
User ReviewCarl MAn awesome movie for an alone late night watch, evidence definitely is one to jump for. A found footage horror flick that starts out as a Blair Witch-y camp story, and takes an extreme turn in a direction you didnt see coming. As a found footage movie, i thought it was great! It had some intense moments and the creature in the film REALLY gave me the creeps at the times that it were shown on screen. The characters are kinda likeable, even though they are no different than any other found footage characters, they're still pretty good. Dialogue is not that bad and is only cheesy at a few times. The pattern of the deaths was a shocker! The last person standing, yet again was not expected. Fun movie if you just want something spooky to watch late at night.
User ReviewSergi FI have to admit, I did not see the direction the plot took coming. At all. Evidence is a pretty stylish movie for about half of it. Unfortunately, as with many found footage films, it takes quite a while to get started, and is plagued by annoying teenagers. This might turn a lot of people off to the entire thing. They overstay their welcome fast. This is not helped by the fact that the film makes poor use of the camera. There's simply no reason it would be on at many of the points in the film. The other big problem is that these characters would have been caught and killed a dozen times over the course of the film. If you can overlook these three critiques, you'll get a pretty tight script. The horror starts quite early, and continues to ramp up. A little over halfway into it, things go straight up nuts. This a film that gets your heart racing. It accomplishes it by a very simple formula: herd the characters into a new environment, wait a little bit, out pop the monsters, rinse and repeat. It's by no means revolutionary, but the pacing is relentless, and the ideas are sound. Give it a whirl. It's certainly better than the last two Paranormal Activities.
User ReviewDavid BCreepy/Sinister/Unexpected/Brilliant/Mundane/Warped/Genius. Final 30 minutes keep you trapped to the very end (and even after the final credits start rolling).
User ReviewZac C40 minutes of idiots being stupid. 10 minutes of girls running and screaming. 20 minutes of I N S A N I T Y. Worth watching for the ending.
User ReviewBill Rwasn't entirely sure what to expect from this film, seemed like a standard cam footage film with a few jumps but maybe more similar to Troll Hunter as opposed to horror suspense like Paranormal Activity. it definitely started that way and was actually quite timid to begin with, but the film exploded in the last half hour, revealing a plot I didn't expect for one moment!! viewers will either be unimpressed and see it as a standard flick from it's genre or, like myself, salute how well the storyline was put together in a way that u can't quite comprehend what is going on amongst all the choas in the final 30 mins of the film.
User ReviewPepé LAn Indie film that does a good job at creeping you out. The movie's premise and lackadaisical debut quickly picks up its pace. The ending is downright bizarre and unpredictable which adds to its sleeper hit status.
