User ReviewKurt CHave you ever laughed so hard at a movie because the acting was HORRIBLE??? Yeah, totally did that to this. Cute-ish story.
User ReviewDavid GCould've been so much better. If only...
User ReviewRobert IThis movie is proof that movies about gay characters works. That said, the movie is still rough around the edges. The acting is in that bad "indie film" territory and because it's about a gay relationship everyone around them seems to be gay too. My biggest complaint is just the false synopsis. I thought this 'magic app' was going to lead a movie of fantasy encounters. Not at all the case. The lead just needed a "Pina Colada" moment, as his mate is wonderful and not at all terrible, but this app makes both their lives a living Hell. When the movie ended I stated that while all's well that ends well, the app did NOT need to ruin both their lives in the process. Are they better off in the end than in the beginning? I'm very unsure. But given how into the film I was while watching it, it did continue my advocacy for more gay characters in mainstream films.
User ReviewRyan DSilly love story, it talks about when we forgot the good thing we have.
User ReviewEric SeCupid is not really that bad for a low budget, independent gay themed movie but ultimately it looks and feels exactly as one. It cannot be faulted on its earnestness but relies on the appealing casting of its leads. Otherwise it contains the depth and wit of typical sitcoms that yearn to be taken seriously and fits perfectly on the small screen. More shockingly is the scene with Morgan Fairchild that begs to ask, in awe, how does she still look this good after all these years. Much like the rest of the film, I'm afraid that the answer may be filters.
User ReviewCéline DMignon. C'est quand on perd quelque chose qu'on se rend compte à quel point il comptait pour nous... Mais pourquoi tous les gays sont aussi canons ?? Quel gâchis... ;o)
User ReviewLee MIt never aims very high and so was never going to be more than mild entertainment.
User ReviewEvan HSuch a bad movie. I watched it because (1) I was bored and (2) I didn't know what else to watch!
