When Lisa starts her freshman year of college, everything seems perfect. She has a new job on the university paper, a handsome new boyfriend, Steven, and together with her new roommate, Shelby, she's pledging a sorority. Her world changes drastically during the sorority's "hell week" as new pledges are asked to perform degrading tasks. During hell week, Shelby mysteriously falls from the campus clock tower late one night and dies. After getting over the initial shock, Lisa becomes convinced that it wasn't a suicide as everyone wants to believe. She begins her own investigation with Steven's help. But no one on campus will listen to them: Lisa's sorority sisters refuse to talk about that night, and the campus officials have closed the case...

Hilary Swank (before she was an Oscar winner), Six from Blossom, Darlene II (Sarah Chalke...who is only on the cover because she's sort of famous now from Scrubs), Zach Morris, and one of the lesbos from the L-Word. Throw in bitchy sorority girls, hazing gone awry, secret blood rituals, and Sophie B. Hawkins "Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover" playing in the background of nearly EVERY scene and you've got yourself a winner. Seriously. |

| User ReviewAmanda HWatching this, I'd never have guessed that Hilary Swank would have gone on to become the huge star she is today. This movie isn't terrible, but it's typical made for TV- mediocre acting, bad music, and so on. It did manage to hold my attention, though. |

| User ReviewJonathan WA pre-Oscar Hilary Swank is found trudging her way through this generic Lifetime tv movie. "Dying to Belong" is a lifeless thriller, with little to motivate itself than a few timely conincidences and a somewhat poorly written script. The film's most laughable moment comes when the "leading man" appears and you discover that it is Mark-Paul Gosselaar, the kid from "Saved by the Bell", trying so very hard to be serious and looking like the biggest douchebag while doing it. |
