Full Plot Details

On his way to Griffin University in the U.S., Goa-based Lawrence Eduardo Gomes is arrested and held at the airport by a corrupt ACP Vishnu Kamath as his baggage concealed drugs. While attempts by Lorry and others are made to clear Lawrence's name, Vishnu continues his investigation aided by Inspectors Mercy D'Costa and Rane, which end up not only pitting him against politically-connected drug-dealers but also international gangsters who operate in Goa with impunity. His inquires lead him to question business tycoon, Lorsa Biscuita, while informers indicate that Lorsa is going to meet with a male named Michael Barbarosso, who may well be the head of this trade. Vishnu attempts to attend this meeting, but is not aware that the venue is being moved to Karnataka - well outside Goa Police's jurisdiction - and he may never be able to find out, leave alone apprehend this individual.

User Review - 10/10 by Erin LBollywood meets Aronofsky. I'm new to Bollywood. Hell, I didn't even see Slumdog--so this was an interesting experience. I know this isn't traditional Bollywood just through passing knowledge. No. Amped up like the script got the kind of drug cocktail it's protagonist was trying to clean off the streets of Goa. Still despite my Americanized palate I was drawn in & impressed. The story wasn't new but it was damn well done. The acting was intense. The final turn unexpected. For someone dipping an explorative toe into Indian cinema after spending a lifetime wading in Tarantino I can't recommend it enough.

Intelligent filming and direction other than very stupid inclusion of the title track 'IN' the movie. Should have been avoided and used solely for promos. Song doesnt make sense in the movie at all. The original dum maaro dum would have been more apt to show stoned people rather than dumb people dancing in sync to 'potti' numbers

User Review - 8/10 by Tim MSeduction Kill Seduction/ Take a Shot is about the drug trade in Goa. Cop, Vishnu, (veteran hero Bachchan, Dhoom, Dhoom 2) lost his family to a drug related accident. When given the authority to stop Goa's drug trade, he goes all out. He even made a music video! Seasoned villain Biscuit (Pancholi) does everything he can to keep his business alive. "It's made to high technical standards with plenty of stylish transitions and impressive location work." Vibrant colors, fun songs, intriguing twists, and a sexy cameo by Padukone make for an enjoyable crime thriller.
User Review - 8/10 by Adeesh AFirst a disclaimer...The writer "Shridhar Raghavan" is my cousin and hence this review "may" be biased. DMD is a good movie, not a great one but definitely a very good one. So let's get to the good parts - Abhishek's character and acting is perfect (Vishnu Kamath rocks as a flawed human being who wants to redeem), the treatment of the script is totally hatke - stylish, inspired by the narrative style from different perspectives, the pacing till the last 30 mins is fast and intelligent with twists and turns, the background score and dialogues rock, the ensemble casting is good and the violence is as realistic as it gets. Now the bad stuff - the pacing in the last 30 mins gets inconsistent, Prateik and Aditya Panscholi suck, the item song - Mit Jaaye sucks along with Deepika shake which isn't sexy at all...sadly. Things to watch for - the scenic photography makes Goa a character in the script, Abhishek, Rana Daggubati, the rest of the songs are damn good. All in all a truly satisfying watch, whcih could have been great.
