User ReviewKarl P. TGong Lee' action movies can't disappoint me whatsoever. IMHO, why it was just a few scenes on Van Damme?
User ReviewDave JAn explosive action tour de force with bone-crunching and mind-blowing martial arts action sequences that you have to see to believe. A urban western style type of film in the tradition of A Fistful of dollars where our heroes are dark and our villains are even darker. A frequently entertaining and fun thrill-ride. Director, John Hyams crafts a slick, stylish and hard-boiled film. A knockout that hits hard and hits home. A thrilling, tremendously exciting and adrenaline-fueled action-packed crime-thriller. Cung Le is a blast to watch, his acting is exceptional and his movements are amazing. Jean-Claude Van Damme gives a strong, calm and utterly compelling performance. Van Damme and Le have great chemistry in this dark and character driven story. Peter Weller is electric, he`s a slick, smart and bad ass villain.
User ReviewTim MMexican, Black, Russian and Italian mobs control St. Jude along with the cops. Cung Le comes to clean them out. Great fighting flick starring an underrated talent.
User ReviewJames DGreat movie had a great story which are told back in Flashbacks Heaps of Action very Bloody and very violent fantastic martial arts and fighting scene and great directional it's very watchable but it's takes a long time to find out what's its all about
User ReviewMatt SGreat action and everyone gets what they deserve in the end. Van Damme and Cung Le do a great job especially since I have never heard of Cung Le.
User ReviewMatt Rvery well made, albeit it mildley entertaining action DTV. More a vehicle for up and coming Cung Le but a nice costarring performance from the charismatic JCVD...
User ReviewHayden HThe movie isn't bad but the ending may be the suckest ending you'll see n your life.
User Reviewleane eok so when i went to rent this i thought since van damme was on the cover that he was gonna be in it quite a bit but it didnt turn out that way he was more along the lines of a cameo with a couple scenes extra but it turned out to be alright since the main lead was pretty interesting to watch and the fight scenes were pretty decent and it was awesome to see peter weller in this and the story wasnt so bad its just the way this movie ended was pretty blah
User ReviewPhantasm GIf over-the-top and kind of unrealistic Kung-Fu/gangster movies are your thing...you will like this, it's not as bad as you may think.
